$35.99Price
Quantity

Orthoceras stone is a natural fossiliferous limestone that contains preserved fossils of Orthoceras, an extinct straight-shelled marine cephalopod that lived approximately 400–450 million years ago during the Ordovician and Devonian periods. The stone typically features elongated, conical fossil patterns embedded in a dark gray to black matrix, creating a distinctive natural appearance.

Composed mainly of calcium carbonate, Orthoceras stone has a Mohs hardness of about 3–4 and is commonly polished to enhance the visibility of the fossils. It is widely used for decorative and architectural applications such as floor and wall tiles, countertops, and ornamental slabs, valued for both its aesthetic appeal and its connection to ancient marine life.
